With an integrated feral animal management program, we often find that a combination of techniques achieves the best result. In difficult to access areas we utilise Unmanned Aerial Vehicle’s to find target species and monitor their movement patterns as a supplement to judas animals, tracking collars and remote camera monitoring. As thermal technology and commercial UAVs improve and become more affordable, the effectivity of tracking and marking of feral pests such as pigs, deer, goats, and wild dogs for direct intervention also vastly improves.
